Par for the Course is a golf scoring app. This policy explains what data is processed, why, and your choices.

1. Data We Process

Depending on the features you use, we may process:

• Gameplay data – player names, scores, holes, settings, and tournament records.
• Device identifier – a device-scoped identifier used for trial/unlock entitlement and anti-abuse controls. It is not linked to your name, email, or any identity provider.
• Online tournament data (if you use online sync) – room codes, participant entries, and synced score events.
• Billing verification metadata – purchase token/transaction identifiers, product ID, package/bundle ID, purchase state, and entitlement status. We do not receive or store payment card numbers.
• Basic technical diagnostics – error logs and request metadata necessary to operate and secure services.

2. How We Use Data

• Provide core app features (score tracking, tournament leaderboard, and sync).
• Verify and maintain your purchase entitlement (30-day trial + one-time unlock).
• Detect abuse or fraud and keep services reliable.
• Improve app stability and performance.

3. In-App Purchases and Billing

On Android, in-app purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. Google handles payment card processing. We only receive and store the minimal metadata required (purchase token, transaction ID, product ID, entitlement status) to validate your purchase and activate your unlock.

On iOS (when available), in-app purchases will be processed through Apple StoreKit / App Store under the same principle.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers required to operate the app (for example, cloud infrastructure or billing-verification services), and only to the extent necessary for functionality, security, and legal compliance.

5. Data Storage and Retention

• On-device data – stored on your device until you clear it via in-app controls or uninstall the app.
• Server-side records (tournament and billing) – retained only as long as needed for app functionality, fraud prevention, legal obligations, and support. We periodically remove or anonymize data that is no longer required.

6. Your Choices and Rights

• Delete local app data at any time using in-app controls or by uninstalling.
• Request access to or deletion of your server-side data by emailing info@promethean-games.com.

7. Children's Privacy

Par for the Course is not directed to children under the age requiring parental consent under applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. International Data Processing

If you access the app from outside the region where our servers are hosted, your data may be transferred to and processed in other countries where our providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws.

10. Policy Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date above. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice.
